Birth Doula Support

True Dove Birth Services currently offers Birth Doula Support. Congratulations on your pregnancy! This blessing is truly such a beautiful season of life. As you step into motherhood, True Dove Birth Services is here to support you on your wonderful journey. The term doula comes from the Greek word δούλη (doulē), which translates to "female servant” or “woman who serves”. A birth doula’s job is to serve the pregnant mother in any way she needs in order to help support her during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. This means providing you with informational, emotional, and physical support to best prepare you for your birth experience. You deserve to be celebrated as well as educated to be able to make informed choices regarding your birth.

At True Dove Birth Services, I believe that every woman is fearfully and wonderfully made and that birth is a beautiful reflection of God's design. My calling is to serve mothers with compassion, grace, and a peaceful presence, honoring each family's unique story while creating a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether your birth unfolds exactly as planned or takes unexpected turns, my desire is that you experience God's peace, strength, and faithfulness every step of the way.

Behind the Name: True Dove

True Dove Birth Services is named after my two children, Alethia and Jonas. My daughter’s name, Alethia, comes from the Greek word ΑΛΗΘΕΙΑ (alítheia) meaning truth. And my son’s name, Jonas, comes from the Greek word ΙΩΝΑΣ‬ (Ionas) meaning dove. Together, we have True Dove. But this name resonates a deeper meaning as well as it ties back to my faith in trusting God’s true design for birth. Peace in birth is found when we surrender to the natural, physiological process of labor. At True Dove Birth Services, I want to offer birth doula support that brings the true miracle of life back to light. Pregnancy and birth are one of God’s most desired blessings as seen through the women of the Bible: Sarah, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Mary, and more. Birth is not a curse or something to run away from, it is a blessing and an opportunity to run and seek God’s peace and love for us.
